FAQs

Weddings

To enquire about a wedding cake, you can simply fill out the enquiry form under ‘weddings’ on my website and we can go from there. I offer face-to-face consultations, these last for up to an hour, where we can discuss ideas, flavours, designs etc, and you have the chance to try 4 different flavours options on the day. Consultations are £20 per session, I will also supply you with a box of tasters to take home with you too.

To book in and to secure your wedding date, I require a £100 non-refundable deposit.

For wedding cakes, the more notice, the better! I book up to a year in advance, so as soon as you have your date and venue booked, I recommend getting in touch! I take on a limited number of wedding cakes per month so I can give my full time and attention to your special cake.

The price of a wedding cake really depends on what you want, no two cakes are the same. To receive a quote for your wedding cake, please fill in the enquiry form and I will be in touch ASAP. The more information you provide, the better.

I offer delivery on every wedding cake order, within 100 miles of Hereford. If you happen to be just outside of the 100 mile radius, still get in touch – we can sort something out! There is an extra fee for delivery, this can be discussed at the time of quoting your cake.

Unfortunately I no longer offer gluten free large cakes, but I do make gluten free cupcakes. My cakes can be made without nuts or soya, however, all bakes are made and prepared in the same kitchen so there is a possible risk of cross-contamination. Extra care is taken when preparing allergy friendly bakes.

Birthdays & Events

There are ready to order cakes and party cakes available to buy on my online shop. If you are after a bespoke birthday cake, please find the enquiry form under ‘birthdays and events’ and fill this out with as much info as possible!

Ready to order cakes are £65 and party cakes are £45. Bespoke cakes vary in price, depending on the size and design required. If you would like a more accurate quote, please get in touch.

The online shop cakes require at least 3 days notice. I ask for at least 1 weeks notice for bespoke cakes, however, the more notice the better as I do get booked up weeks/months in advance.

These are all available to see and purchase on my online shop. I can make anything from cupcakes to rocky roads, cookies and much more! If you have a specific sweet bake in mind, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

You can! I have treat boxes available, along with other sweet goods! I can make enough treats for a sweet/dessert table. If you would like fewer items, please send me an email. We can discuss options!

This is EXTREMELY important!! The way in which you store your cake will determine how long it will last and how long you can enjoy it for! Top tips on how to store your cake:

The cake should be refrigerated if it’s not being cut straight away. Remove from the fridge and bring back to room temp 2 hours before serving. I recommend heating a sharp knife with hot water between each slice, this results in clean and perfect slices. Once you are finished with the cake (and if you have any left!!!), wrap the cake in cling-film and return to the fridge. The cake will keep fresh for up to 5 days!

Yes! Small + big events, corporate events, launches etc!

Delivery questions

I offer delivery on wedding cakes ONLY. It’s not compulsory, but is advised. This will give you peace of mind on your wedding day. I have all the delivering equipment for wedding cakes and will set up and add the final touches at your venue. There is a delivery fee which will be discussed during your ordering process.

I currently offer delivery up to 100 miles from my studio in Hereford (HR1 2LR).

This all depends on your order. If it’s a tiered wedding cake, unfortunately not. I stack tiered wedding cakes at the venue on the day, if the wedding is outside of Herefordshire. If you have ordered multiple single tiers/cupcakes/other sweet treats for your wedding, this is a possibility.

General questions

All of my cakes are 100% vegan, but you wouldn’t even be able to tell! There’s no compromise on taste with my cakes; they are just as delicious (or even more so) than non-vegan cakes. They can be enjoyed by all, vegan or otherwise!

Gluten free options are available for cupcake, cake jar and crispie bar orders only. Please be aware that all cakes are produced in the same kitchen, so there is always a risk of ‘cross contamination’. However, I take every step to ensure there is little risk involved.

I am located near the Cathedral in Hereford.

My address is: 1 Capuchin Yard, Church Street, HR1 1UH. The yard is just through a passageway, between The Mousetrap (cheese shop) and Calandras Menswear. I’m then the first on the left! There is no vehicle access, but lots of local parking – car parks and on street parking.

In the unfortunate and unlikely event of not being satisfied with your order, a refund is offered. However, I require 50% or more of the bake to be returned to me within 24 hours of collection/delivery, so that I can further inspect and discuss any issues raised.

You can change your order up to a week before the date booked, however, there may be a charge for this.

If you would like to cancel your order, I require 7 days notice. All deposits are non-refundable, but are transferable to a new, available date.

If you have any questions which aren’t answered here, drop me message and I’ll get right back to you!
